Introducing: The Tich

Ohi,

I'm Tich, and I'm one of the admins working on the Pokécraft project. I mostly started helping after the completion of the Kanto region so most of my work is some sea routes from Hoenn onwards.

For the blog I intend to do regular updates on our progress in all our projects worth noting. I hope to see you all soon again.

Today's Destination: Hoenn

Welcome back! Lets head to Hoenn today shall we. Much farther south than Kanto, the Hoenn region is semi-tropical, and the whole region is much larger than Kanto and is more varied in its terrain. From volcanoes, to the desert, rainforests, to the coast. Hoenn is breathtaking in its splendor.

Looking towards Mt Chimney. This is area around your Hometown.
The second completed region done in the Pokécraft project. Hoenn was a massive undertaking. From server changes to lost work, Hoenn was more than a handful for the entire staff.

Sevii Islands 4, 5, 6 and 7

Okay, so my interpretation of "tomorrow" may be slightly looser than other people's. But the important thing is that I am DOING this post. I don't have to! No-one's making me! But I am because I care. So anyway, today we're doing the second set of Sevii islands, which open up post-league in Fire Red and Leaf Green. Of course, here there's no such thing as a proper league, so you get to these the same way you get to the others, by doorways on the ferryports. First up, Floe (Four) island.

Floe Island. It's not very big but it has a cave!

I have a puntastic name!

And I've heard them all before, believe me. I'm Inevitable, Cieran and Mudson have already mentioned me and now it's time for my introduction. I'm one of the older staff members and I'm the one responsible for such awesome things as that Giant [unfinished] Tentacruel Submarine, Fortree City and the Battle Pike.

What else... I believe myself to be a very good builder (though all the Pokecraft staff are as well) with a strong emphasis on natural looking environments, architecturally impressive buildings and efficient use of interior space. In addition to the things mentioned above, I'm the "server league's" Psychic Gym Leader. Though I've not gotton around to completing the interior (Sinnoh's got my attention at the moment) the exterior of my Gym is up there to behold in all its circular pentagonal glory.

Word of advise, do not do pentagon-shaped designs in Minecraft. Even if it looks awesome, the hassle's just not worth it.

I'm studying Computer Games Design at Staffordshire University, I'm in the process of building a doomsday weapon and I'm actually I'm a spy for Red Team. But don't tell anyone.

Sevii Islands 1, 2 and 3

Sometime earlier this year, Hoenn effectively hit a dead-end when it came to building. No-one wanted to build the water routes, because it was hard and no-one would see it in the end. So we needed a distraction. What did we come up with? The Sevii Islands of course!

When you "complete" Kanto (and you'll know when you've completed it) you'll be given the option either to return home, continue to Hoenn, or explore the sevii islands. Option three will warp you to Knot Island, also known as One island.

One Island, with Mt Ember at back

Today's Destination: Kanto

Hello again! Today we're going to take a trip to beautiful Kanto.

Pallet Town, and the whole of Route 1

As you can see, Kanto is quite a beautiful region, with some neat areas. Kanto was the first region that we started in the project, and is typically the region most people want to see.

Hello There

'Sup,

I'm the other member of staff, and go by the names of Mudson or Dingley.
I act as a director on the server, generally building, moderating and nagging at others (more likely than not if I'm complaining it's in Cieran's general direction.)

As Cieran said, I came along with him. Started on limited overworld work in Kanto and ended up doing tons of interiors, specifically the gyms. Went on the Hoenn where I did large stretches of the overworld, numerous interiors (including the blasted trick house) and huge amounts of landscaping. If you ever ask a pokecraft member about the water routes expect some 'nam style flashbacks. As well as that I'm limited in my side projects due to time constraints, but I'm the gym leagues grass leader and tend to build odd things in the freebuild like big 3D pokemon. I intend to do a few more projects but only the future will tell if I manage to.

Personally, I study law at Lincoln, huge Nintendo fan which you will probably see in my minecraft and I can never pass up an opportunity to nag about something ^^

So yeah, cya around.

I'm Rils

That's all you need to know, stay outta my way or the BSS will remove you from history.

I make the server do stuff

Hi there Pokécraft fans!

If you don't already know me, I'm Cieran. The rumours are NOT true, I'm NOT a furry. I'm the guy who runs the actual server itself (well, not the machine, that's spoon). So if there's a technical error...I'm the guy you go to. Though I just take your error straight to iCraft help, then they fix it and I update the server. If you ever get a message saying it's going down for maintenance, that's probably me. I'm so committed I can even reboot the server from my phone!

As for me myself, well, I've not been with Pokécraft since the beginning, but I did join soon after. I invited Inevitable and Mudson along to see this amazing new Kanto build, and from there things spiralled, and now we're all staff. I did a lot of stuff in Hoenn, (especially interiors), and have done a lot of stuff in Sinnoh. But we still have that blasted Mt Coronet to do. When not working on the project (which is most of the time - again, Coronet), I like to build other crap, which is generally way too big. Like my mansion in freebuild(4), or my flying stadium gym. Oh yeah, I'm the flying-type gym leader in our gym-league-thing.

Personally, I'm a student at the University of York, I enjoy video games and not doing work (two hobbies which strangely often coincide) and have been a fan of Pokémon since Christmas 1999. Red and Green came out on my fifth birthday!

I'm waffling now, so I'm gonna cut it short. In Minecraft I go by either Cieran (in-game) or CDRom (on IRC). So yeah. That's me. And I'm not a furry!

First post, an introduction.

First of all, welcome! I’m Bidoof_King and I’m the server owner of Bidoof_King’s Playhouse.

Alright, with that out of the way let me explain what we’re doing here.
I imagine a good deal of you have heard of Minecraft. Well about a year ago a few of us got together and decided “Hey we should build the Pokémon worlds inside of Minecraft!” and so we did. Now a year later we’re well into the project and there’s no end in sight!

So far we’ve recreated the Regions from the Advanced Generation. That’s LeafGreen & FireRed (Kanto), and Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald (Hoenn). As you can imagine, this was is a massive undertaking and even with a team of people working on it, it is still taking quite a while to do.

Over the next couple of days I’ll add some screenshots and perhaps a video or two of the project.

Stay Tuned!

Wait. Almost forgot to add the server link!
